In 2019, we heard loud and clear that many of our Newark partners were looking for strategic support on issues that were specific to their organization. So, we launched “Garden Hours,” a program for our grant partners to receive one-on-one mentoring from amazing community leaders.
We’ll be continuing this program for our 2023 partners with support from:
- Tobias Fox, Founder and Managing Director of Newark Science and Sustainability
- Charmaine La Fortune, Executive Director of Giving One Tenth Community Garden
Take a look below to see how this program works and to schedule a time with Tobias and Charmaine:
Need additional guidance on owning the property you’re growing on? Or maybe you need help with fundraising campaigns for specific projects or to support the ongoing management of your green space? Any additional questions related to your farm or garden?
Whether you’re struggling with an issue or just want additional support to flesh-out new ideas, sign up for our Garden Hours with Tobias Fox and Charmaine La Fortune. These sessions will be one-on-one scheduled time for direct resource support and knowledge sharing virtually or in person. Community partners can sign up for sessions throughout the year. Each session is 2 hours, and each grant partner can sign up for 2 sessions per quarter.
Quarters:
- Summer: May-August 2023
- Fall: September-November 2023
- Winter: December 2023-February 2024
- Spring: March-May 2024
