Simon Green Atkins Community Development Corporation strives to foster community-based leadership focused on revitalizing the neighborhoods surrounding Winston-Salem State University. Their urban garden space, Simon‘s Green Acre Community Garden, provides underserved residents with the opportunity and a safe space to grow healthy organic produce for their families and others in the community. The garden offers workshops, classes, materials, and tools for successful growing and harvest at low/no cost to participants.
