Forge City Works uses food as their vehicle for community and individual empowerment. Their social enterprise businesses serve the community and provide on-the-job customer service, hospitality, and culinary job training for people in the Hartford community with barriers to employment. Their newest project, The Grocery on Broad, provides access to fresh, healthy food and groceries to overcome the challenges of food insecurity and limited food access in the community.
